She Swims 2024 – Women’s Swimming Competition

As part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations, the Chaliyar Doha Women’s Wing organized “She Swims 2024” at Al Wakra Green Stadium. This marked the first-ever swimming competition exclusively for women within Qatar’s Indian community.

Participants competed in two age-based categories: 13–17 years and 17 years and above, with contestants ranging from teenagers to women over 50. The event celebrated the motto that creativity, talent, and skill have no age limits, providing a platform for women to showcase their abilities and promoting active participation in sports within the community.

Anniversary Celebrations

Chaliyar Doha has a proud tradition of marking its milestones with cultural and community events. The 5th Anniversary was celebrated at DPS Monarch School, Al Wukair, Doha, under the theme “Thirayum Theeravum.” To commemorate the occasion, the organization released a reference magazine titled “Puzhayoram”, which was officially launched by world-renowned Qatari artist Faraj Dhaham, highlighting the organization’s journey and environmental initiatives.

In 2025, Chaliyar Doha marked its 10th Anniversary with “Chaliyar Ulsavam 2025,” a community cultural festival celebrating a decade of engagement among the Malayali diaspora in Qatar. The festival showcased the rich heritage of Kerala through traditional performances, art forms, music, and community participation, along with the launch of commemorative publications documenting 10 years of Chaliyar Doha’s cultural, social, and environmental contributions
