PERUVAYAL

This land, stretching along the banks of the Chaliyar River, is notable for its natural beauty and rich historical heritage. Once part of major trade routes, Peruvayal advanced early in development thanks to transportation facilities provided by the waterways of the Chaliyar.

After the formation of the panchayat in the 1960s, Peruvayal made significant progress in education, agriculture, and social development. Today, it is recognized as an education-friendly village, with schools, learning centers, and socio-cultural institutions playing a strong role in the community.
The temples and mosques of the village stand as witnesses to its history, while the Chaliyar riverbank has become a peaceful retreat for tourists and nature lovers alike.

Blending tradition and progress, Peruvayal remains a green land that preserves the soul of Malabar in its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
